Eva Grouling Snider: teacher and designer.
But also: gamer, resident techie, cook, baseball fan, sci-fi and fantasy lover, and life-long learner.
Professionally, I teach in the Professional Writing minor at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I also teach online in the Technical Writing and Communication major at Arizona State University. I teach general professional writing, but I specialize in user experience (UX), web, and document design, including several upper-level classes on web and document design. I completed graduate work at the University of Maine and Virginia Tech.
Personally, I live in Muncie, Indiana—the go-to token Midwest town in many TV shows, including Supernatural and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.—with my partner and cats. I’m originally from South Carolina, but I have roots in Maine, as well. I have undergone a gender transition and do my best to serve as a member, resource, and role model in the trans community.
Some of the media I enjoy include: Hearthstone, Brandon Sanderson’s The Stormlight Archive, 7 Wonders, almost anything published by Image Comics, and almost any JRPG.
I also like good food and craft beer, and I dabble in homebrewing my own beers, particularly pale ales. I’m also a life-long baseball fan, particularly the Boston Red Sox and the Washington Nationals.
